We The People

We the people of the United States of America…

Means everyone,
Not just the self-righteous religious,
Not just the privileged well to do and well known,
Not just the super patriots who avoid serving their country,
Not just the sanctioned married,
Not just the corporate board rooms with well paid lobbyists,
Not just the politically correct conservative right,
Not just the healthy,
But everyone:
We who are not given to religious ideologies,
but who want live in peace with our fellow citizens;
We who aspire to a better life,
but who find it out of reach for our means;
We who volunteer and serve our country,
but who find it unresponsive to our needs;
We who have the capacity to love,
but who must live outside of social acceptance;
We who hope for public improvement,
but who lack the money to influence our politicians;
We who are immigrants and refugees,
but who must wait for the right to justice;
We who understand people can be different,
but who want tolerance for our kindness;
We who have special needs,
but who earnestly seek to achieve our potential.
We too, are the people of the United States of America.
